And in Zambia, it is the rainy season! Well almost! We have had a few thundery showers in October which is a little early but has been very pleasant and has settled the dust a little at least. Just hope it doesn't portend a bad season - last year we had an enormous amount of rain, with even a few rivers flooding. There were days when I wondered if we would ever see the sun again - it was way too much!
So here's to the start of a normal rainy season, green grass and lots of mud!

Hey there Jayne well here is to brighter days ahead
Well, you know in Botswana they say 'Pula' (=rain) where we'd say all the best, take care etc.
It's also the name of their currency.
(I wonder if the toast 'Mud in your eye!' originated with African expats?)
Hi Jadey - nice to see you again :)
I would say it's a distinct possibility Keith - maybe something to do with G&Ts, landrovers and the rainy season?
You know what they always told me when I lived up by Seattle? "At least you're not scrapeing it off your windshield" :)
And here I am praying for a good freeze to get rid of the mud for a few months :)
