View from the top of my road before the rains!

All the wires hanging about overhead are the MAINS electricity supply! Nothing like living dangerously - and you wonder why the squirrels go on strike so often. :)

Tis all for security purposes! My house is the one just before that (not in the picture) and at least I have a bit of grass and bouganvilla on the wall. I noticed today that the tree at the very bottom of the road has gone! Firewood for winter perhaps? During the rains, the road was a raging river and an interesting experience - lol

Just thought you might all find a 'typical' Zambian residential area a bit interesting?

WoW! How far is the nearest grocery store Jayne? Are you still able to access that road during the rainy season?

The good thing about Ndola CD is that NOTHING is more than 10 mins drive away. The downside is that the roads, although not all as bad as that one, have an awful lot of potholes in them!

It was a river down there when it rained but fortunately it drains away quite quickly so not too bad - only had to use 4 wheel drive twice :)
